Great show at the Vancouver Ballroom last night as part of the Heart of the City Festival – in order of appearance: Sansho Daiko, Katari Taiko + Sawagi Taiko, Sansho Daiko (again!), Uzume Taiko + LOUD, and ending with the group that represents taiko future – Chibi Taiko – who rocked the house down with the youthful energy and drive. As HOTC Executive Director Terry Hunter said afterwards, there is so much variety between the groups, it’s great to see all the groups on the same stage.
